In this series, Franck Bohbot takes an offbeat approach to the typical Manhattan Chinatown cliché: daytime noise, incessant deliveries, hasty people, and countless tourists are replaced with deserted nocturnal streets, science fiction-like cinematographic sets, and the occasional UFO-like passerby seemingly dropped on a motionless urban site in which silence reigns. The result is an enigmatic voyage through a pictorial and fantasy-like universe in the thick of night, with the New York City backdrop as its sole main protagonist.
