As many fellow artists my artistic journey started when I was a little kid, only five years old. I have a few memories from that time. The most important one I can recall is just a faded image of a sketch of a desert and two horses. I consider it to be my first drawing.
Growing up in a country where art was considered nonessential, made me practice these artistic skills on my own. Even though there was little interest in art in general, I was lucky enough to have the support of my family, which was more than enough inspiration for me to keep moving forwards.
I spent most of my early years drawing my childhood heroes, from what I saw on TV or simply whatever made me happy. It was a beautiful world where I couldn’t help but enjoy every step I took.
As I grew up, my preferences gradually changed. I was slowly discovering a whole new universe that I knew nothing about. It was a little scary, but undoubtedly wonderful. The digital world of art. The more I learnt about it the more interested I was. I quickly got my first software which helped me make a break to this new artistic experience.
I improved my skills a lot during my high school years, actually way faster than I would have ever imagined. Painting after painting, failure after failure you surely learn a lot. Of course, this was not something I achieved entirely by myself. I had a huge support from my family, my friends and the whole art community. I still owe them a big thank you!
But as I mentioned, growing up in a country where art has little influence on a daily basis, you have to make a few sacrifices. I am making one right now. For those of you who have followed me the last couple of years, it’s easier to guess.
I decided to take a 5 year break from art, making only a few drawings / paintings at the mean time as I’ll be occupied studying Telecommunication Engineering. This means the journey pauses here and is hopefully resumed in 2020.
