Born in 1972, Mathew grew up in rural Quebec and Ontario surrounded by horses and hay. Despite allergies to both, he constructed elaborate hay forts and did a bit of horse riding, but when the air was particularly heavy with pollen he’d more likely hole up in his room drawing, building elaborate things with lego, and making primitive computer graphics on his Commodore 64.
