Even as a young artist, Max Ulichney was thinking in three dimensions, eventually sculpting wax or clay figures, drawing in orthographic views, and learning three point perspective with the help of his dad. When his family got a computer, he eagerly taught himself digital painting and vector art. And when he began seeing consumer 3D packages on store shelves, that sealed his fate. Starting at an early age, Max interned throughout high school and college at advertising agencies learning the various aspects of media and entertainment. He went on to study illustration and animation at Columbus College of Art and Design in Ohio and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Media Studies. Because of his combined interests in advertising, design, and filmmaking, he landed in visual effects and animation as a lead artist at Elastic.
