Scapegoat Studio provides various artistic services for Christian churches. It was created by Jonathan Mayer in order to fill a perceived void in the liturgical art of present day. Compared with the historical Christian Church, there is less sacred art being created, the standard of quality is lower, and it often suffers from the self-reflexivity that plagues the contemporary art scene. Scapegoat Studio is Mayer’s attempt to return Christian art to its proper setting in liturgical worship—and its proper focus on Christ alone.
